    Hi,
I would like to purchase a numbering machine to use on my C&P OS 8×12. Does anyone have experience with this and does anyone know the best place to purchase one? I’ve searched around but curious about your thoughts.
    thanks

Count Numbering Machines, Toll free number 1-800-4-numbers —1-760-489-14002128 Auto Parkway,Escondido, CA 92029Sales hours PST. 7:30am – 4:00pm(I hope this helps)They sell a nice numbering machine that work both forward or backwards. They come with 6 or 7 wheels.Count sell New or Re-built machines. I have bought both. 6 wheel re-built sells for around $135.00. New is about $15.00 to $20.00 higher.I have been using their machines for years and very happy with them.Joe

Thanks Joe! I’ll check them out. I am assuming they will be easy enough to figure out how to use? lock it up in my chase and go? ;)best, kathryn

You might want to check around as well; I got mine from Paul at the Platen Press Museum here in IL and they were more like $35-$50 each (can’t remember exactly…). I have them with both serif and sans serif, and they work great for being used (they have a few nicks, etc.).There are a few tricks to working with them, including setting the number of numbers and zeroes, counting upwards or backwards, etc. I’d be happy to walk you through it when you get some.Jen

Thats correct, lock up and run…..They have a sliding pin that changes from forward to backwards. Couldn’t be easier. You can get them in roman or gothic. What I like about the count is the No. can be removed. Count has slides from A to Z and a blank slide for numbering without anything for special numbering. If this is not to clear call me after September 20th. We are closed this week. 1-310-268-1466 ask for JoePS. be carefull of used machines.Joe

hello im a new member to this site. always remember , when you lock up numbering machines, always lock them up on the long way, if you lock them up on the sides it may cause the shaft to bind, do to the pressure it puts on the wheels.
