"The only thing I can think of, given that inking is the same (roller height, amount of ink, etc.), is that maybe the platen bolts have loosened some and backed off a little over time? Just a thought ... "

Decreasing "saltiness"?

Hey everyone - I've had a problem pop up recently with saltiness. I use Van Son inks, rubber and oil, and everything I print lately is coming out super salty. A friend gave me a tip of heating up the ink disk a bit, which did help a little, but for now I've just been double-hitting everything to get better coverage. I recently switched to using magnesium plates from photopolymer, so I don't know if that is the issue (although I do still use poly plates from time to time and they've been a…See More
