- About Me:
- Heroes & Criminals Press is my small printing and binding venture nestled in the Blue Ridge mountains of Asheville, North Carolina. The press specializes in fine press and artist books, letterpress prints, and a variety of printed ephemera and chapbooks.
I studied iron casting as an undergrad at East Carolina University, and during the same time learned to repair books while working at a student job at the university library. Following a stint in book and paper conservation at the Northeast Document Conservation Center in Massachusetts, I moved to Iowa City where I earned an MFA in Printmaking and a certificate in Book Studies at the University of Iowa.
I now work as a studio artist, teach workshops at Asheville BookWorks, am an adjunct professor of papermaking and book arts at Warren Wilson College in Swannanoa, NC, and am the co-founder and co-director of Ladies of Letterpress.
