"No news yet, I still need to order plates to test, I want to try some different linescreen levels. I will update with a new photo filled blogpost and mention it here when I get the chance though!"

"Are you asking about multiple colors and halftones or single colors and halftones?  I just took a letterpress intensive last week and we talked some about halftone printing; I can always send my professor an email if you'd like. He's…"

Halftone Help?

Hey ladies, I want to see if anyone has had some good success working with screens or halftones. I wrote up a blog post specifically for this with my different experiments, but I haven't had too much success. Would you be willing to share any experience you have with halftones? To see lots of pictures and see what I mean look here (too much effort to try and re-upload all these images):…See More

"Absolutely, Barbara is right. We do consider the proof presses to be the be all and end of cylinders now a days because they are the more commonly acquired for small shops. I worked for two years in the Minneapolis College of Art and Design print…"

"I've printed on both for years. They have advantages and disadvantages. Here is what I think: C&P: - Far more dangerous, you can lose a finger or badly damage your hand if you 'chase' a fallen print - Smaller print area, you…"

Danielle Feliciano replied to Cortney Sarkozy's discussion Uugh!
"A lot it feels like. Though to be honest, I lose more mid run than at the beginning. It may take me about 10 prints per color to get it all ready (sometimes less, as few as 2-3), but inevitably midway through the inking gets off (a light or dark…"

About Me:
My name is Danielle Feliciano and I've been printing for about five years. I apprenticed with Barry Moser of Pennyroyal Caxton Press and Chip Schilling of Indulgence Press before moving back to Virginia Beach to start my own small press. My true love is fine press book design, but I also do some commercial work printing invitations and stationary.

Open for Commissions and Friends!

The Letterpress Community is a little, shall we say, 'light' in Hampton Roads. I'd love to meet new printers, get more work, and acquire more equipment. If you're nearby say 'Hi', I'd love to show you the shop and if you have a cylinder press you just don't need, give me a ring, because I'd love to find a little proof press for the shop.

Things I still want to do/learn:

How to do edge painting

Print on some coasters

Find a press for and learn to diecut
