"To me it looks like it could be too much ink, too little pressure or packing, and naturally bumpy stock. Maybe try taking about a third of the ink off the disk, adding a sheet of soft packing, and see if that helps?"

About Me:
I'm the owner of Thomas-Printers, a letterpress and design shop, in Carlisle, PA. I print for companies, designers, individuals, and myself.

I was first introduced to letterpress printing while an apprentice at the Gutenberg Museum in Mainz, Germany. When I returned to the US, after a bit of moving around, I opened Thomas-Printers; my three platen presses date from the early 20th century.

Thanks Kseniya. I had just posted an APA bundle piece to Neil Giroux, on which I quite ambiguously credited "Laddies" to you, since 1) I could not get specifics, 2) you and Jessica created Ladies of Letterpress, which led to Laddies. I shall of course credit Jake Massey for the term in future.

Aw, thank you! Still waiting for an email back about my offer. The press is at The Arm in Brooklyn, and they had that crazy snowstorm, so I think that's why it's taking so long. Not sure if they've re-opened. They don't have a phone number, either. So, yes, keep those fingers crossed.

Kseniya,

Thank you soo much for your kind note about my book. It means so much to get positive feed back from people who are working in the field and making it happen! I was so pleased when I talked to Eileen and she told me how much you liked it. I'd love to sell you one of the edition.

I might also pick your brain in the near future about going abroad. My boyfriend and I are starting to think about post-graduation plans and time in Germany might be on the list.

Thanks again. It means so much to me.

Thanks for looking. The drawers look so pretty on the outside.....but horror of horrors....when I moved into my new studio, someone tipped one of my type cases on its side....everyone froze when we heard the sounds of cascading lead bits hitting the floor.
