Hi all,Does anyone in Chicago or the immediate area want a C+P right now? I don’t have many of the details, but there are a few floor models that need to go away next week from a button co. at Western and 35th. I do have a phone number of the guy getting rid of them if anyone is interested. They’re going to go to scrap so he might be willing to cut some good deals.

Hello,I think these were all floor models, so no table tops in the lot. It’s been a few weeks, so I have a feeling they may have gone to scrap. Are you in Illinois or around here? Paul at the platen press museum often has table tops that are in decent shape. You could always try him.

Would they be willing to ship? I’m in NH – I don’t think I could drive there to pick one up.I would appreciate any info as I have been scouring the internet for a C & P.Thank you.Claire

I think these are probably gone, since they were about to go to scrap at the time I found out about them. And they were all floor models, so you really wouldn’t want to ship them. If you’re talking about Paul at the museum, I don’t think he’d ship either, as it’s just not worth it. They’re so big and heavy so they have to go freight…. you’re much better off trying to find one in your area. Good luck!
