I’m in the midst of doing yearly planning for my letterpress business, and wondered if anyone had feedback on how they handle their own yearly planning. Specifically: when do you aim to send out your catalogs, accept orders, and plan on sending stock out for each season? Is there a standard time for the holiday season catalog to go out, and a cut-off date for stores to place their orders?
In other words: is there a typical calendar year for a letterpress business that primarily wholesales coasters and cards to small retail stores? Or do you just wing it?
I’d like to tighten that process this year; any help would be greatly appreciated!
