I have come across this machine that someone is going to throw away unless I take it. I don’t know exactly what it is and was hoping someone out there might.
I think it is a hot stamp machine but I don’t know who made it yet, I am attaching the pics I have. Please let me know if you know what this is, and if I should take it, or if it would just be more trouble than it’s worth?

13 years, 6 months agoThis does look like a foil stamper.Have you looked on Briar Press?How much does it weigh?If you haven’t found answers, give me a ring 530-273-5606. I have run a few different foil stampers.This looks like a hand fed one. how does the impression go on?Judith
13 years, 6 months agoThat is a foil stamper. Looks like you need to use an air compressor to make it cycle on impression. Google Franklin/Kensol. They are still being made. I have a couple of table top foil stampers and they are a very nice addition to any shop/studio. If it’s still available and free don’t pass it up. You didn’t say how much it weighs…some of those are big and very heavy.
13 years, 6 months agoThanks Camille! I did pick it up. It appears to be working, though I haven’t hooked it up to an air compressor yet. I have a friend who is going to tinker with it a bit. I think I am missing the piece that holds the plates or type in place. Do you know what I can get to fit into the slot (on the photo I am uploading) that can hold a copper die?
