    Hello everyone,

I just received an inquiry from a stationery studio that would like to offer letterpress printed items to their customers. In essence, they would be outsourcing their letterpress items to me. I’ve looked in the forum and haven’t seen anything on this topic (if I’ve missed it my apologies, please send me the link!). My question to you all is this: What is a reasonable price to charge for my service? For example, if I sell a wedding invitation and RSVP card, one color, return address letterpress printed for $7.00 per set would I just discount 15% or 20% from that price and say that is what her cost would be and then she’d adjust accordingly? (At that point I would be doing the whole process and supplying paper and envelopes) I usually design, makes plates, print and sell from my own online ETSY store so outsourcing is a new venue that I had never really considered. I’ll be meeting with her sometime this weekend so she can see samples of my work and then go from there. When we get together I will find out if she just wants me to print (and she provide paper) or if I’m doing the whole process.
Any advice is greatly appreciated as I don’t want to undercut myself and other letterpress printers or over-charge my potential client and scare her away!

    Thanks!
    Diana
