And welcome to the (extended) neighborhood! Did you move Manifesto from Holyoke to W-S? I lived in Springfield and Easthampton, MA for a few years (2001-2004), now I’m in Asheville, NC.

Try John Barrett, Letterpress Things – http://www.letterpressthings.com/. If he doesn’t have one, he might hunt one down for you.

My advice is to hire a pro! I’ve used Hodgins Engraving as well as On the Edge Gilding Services.

Nancy – If you don’t find a buyer for these parts soon, please contact me through my web site; I have inquiries for these parts pretty often – which is why I’m planning on making new ones available to the community as soon as I can.- Alan Runfeldt – http://ExcelsiorPress.org

I was trying to revive the letterpress shop at my college at the same time the dean asked for an industrial safety expert to survey the college for hazards. The “expert” declared that the lead type was too dangerous for women of child-bearing age to handle and all of the type was removed by a extremely expensive hazardous waste removal company. Hi, I’ve been cutting Millboard and Davey board with a retractable blade Olfa knife for years. I have a 15 year old green self healing mat as well. They work really well. I cannot remember the site, but there is someone who makes blank, craft covered notebooks for printers and artists. I’ll see if I can find them.Akemi.

@craigfansler That’s great that Wake Forest Univ library got a donated press! I have a friend in W-S, in fact I’ll be there in April for her wedding 🙂
Good luck with it, and let me know if I can help.

@jessicacwhite Thanks Jessica! I just read the article in the Asheville Citizen Times about your book. I’m new to letterpress, having received a donated Chandler & Price press last summer, to the library where I work. I’m looking forward to reading and learning on LOL.

Hi there, we don’t have a shuttle, but so far it looks like there will be plenty of drivers willing to give you a ride. We’ll try to get printers at each hotel in touch with each other to work out ride shares. If this doesn’t work out, then yes – there will be a shuttle. Have no fear, we will get you to Printers Hall!See you this summer!

Hi-I have a few chases and I think an extra chase bed for a Kelsey 5×8 press that I am planning to sell. I inherited a 5 x 8 press and am now upgrading to a Golding Official 4. I also have some new rollers that I have never used. I am not sure about the ink disk- but I can look tonight and see.Nancy
