BookOpolis 2012
BookOpolis 2012, a Colossal Book Arts Extravaganza. BookOpolis 2012 takes place on September 21-22 at Asheville BookWorks. As always entries from across N. America and other Continents are exhibited during the BookOpolis weekend. Friday evening we will raffle the Beer City Prints Portfolio featuring 24 fanciful wood engravings and artist prints. Saturday is the annual open house with demos and a few hands-on in the studio. The Juror’s Collection as selected by Tatana Kellner will be on view through November 2012 in the BookWorks Gallery. The theme, Editorial Content: Spine-Tickling Artist Books, is the brainchild of Tatana Kellner. Tana is the 2012 juror for the Juror?s Collection and her selection of BookOpolis entries will remain on display through the end of November 2012 in the BookWorks Gallery.

Tatana Kellner, juror, is the founding member and Artistic Director of Women?s Studio Workshop, an artists? workspace in Rosendale, NY where she is instrumental in helping artists publish and market limited edition artists? books. Her work encompasses printmaking, photography and installation and she is the author of 22 limited edition artists? books.
