Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum announces the third year of the New Impressions juried exhibition. This international exhibition aims to showcase exploration and creativity with letterpress printing techniques. From this age-old tradition, we strive to challenge and inspire artists to continue the love of printing. This exhibition is open to artists 18 years of age and older creating works involving letterpress printing.
The jurors for this year’s exhibition are Eva de la Rocha, printer with Familia Plómez; David Shields, Associate Professor and the Chair of the Department of Graphic Design at Virginia Commonwealth University; and Jenny Wilkson, Letterpress Program Director at School of Visual Concepts and Editor in Chief of Letterpress Commons.
Following exhibition at Hamilton, the show travels to School of Visual Concepts in Seattle, Washington. It will be on display during their 16th Annual Wayzgoose. We are honored to work with our friends there to share this international exhibition.
The deadline for submissions is February 22, 2017. So please enter and tell all your friends!
