Challenge Proof Press for Printmaking or Letter Press

This is a Proof Press has been used for Print Making AND Letter Press (for big letters–see pic), or just proofing prints as the name suggests. It was made in Grand Haven, MI. I restored this press, reskinned the drum, cleaned up rust and oiled it up. The crank in the middle moves the plate in unison with the drum to create even pressure across the paper and inked plate.

Great for home printmakers who don’t have a lot of space and don’t want to pay $5K+ for one. You will be able to print images up to 24″ x 20″. Perfect for the hobbyist who may want to sell their prints too!

I regret seeing this go because it’s a handy little thing, but moving soon!

It is heavy, but I will help load it into a vehicle. We were able to load it into a hatchback (Pontiac Vibe) with the seats down. Then move it down a set of stairs with two men and a dolly. If the ad is still up the press is still available.
