    Hi Ladies

I?m a papermaker and printmaker trying to expand my little handmade paper shop into the realm of letterpress stationary and little flyers/posters (I also have a post in this forum about a little Morgan Line-O-Scribe I’m looking at).

While searching through ebay?s listings I found a kelsey printing press excelsior model O 5 X 8 being auctioned off that seems (from what internet research I?ve done) to be going for a reasonable price.

I have a fair amount of experience with Vandercooks and little tabletop platens, from a couple of letterpress classes I took in college. However, I don?t have much experience with Kelsey’s, and am not completely confident that I could spot subtler problems with the machine from a series of ebay photos. From comparisons with pictures of other folks Kelsey’s that I found online- this press seems to be intact, albeit a tad rusty. Insight from the folks with Kelsey’s of their own would be much appreciated.

    Thanks Again
    Tara
