    Hi, LoL!

I have a metal 24-drawer Hamilton type cabinet full of lead type. However, I print almost exclusively with photopolymer plates. I want to clear out my studio for more work space so I’m looking to sell it to another studio or to donate it to a non-profit organization. Pick-up only in D.C. Asking $500 or best offer.

The 35? wide x 46? high (on casters) x 21.5? deep cabinet has matching original handles and drawers. The lead type is mostly sorted and in great condition. Per the drawer labels, the fonts included are:

    Engravers Roman, 6 pt

Light Copper Plate Gothic, 6 pt

    Typo Roman Shaded #2, 18pt

The Ashantilly Press, part of Ashantilly Center, Inc, a 501(c)3 educational center, is interested in this type and case. We are presently working on our presses with the goal of letterpress classes. We are, however, on the Georgia coast, but may be able to arrange pick-up. Visit http://www.ashantilly.org to learn more about us!

    Thanks for your consideration!

Hi, I’m not really a printer, but a jeweler & I’m interested in this cabinet. I have several of these trays & they work well for me. I have no need for the type. I live in Linthicum, Md which is close to BWI airport. Let me know if you would like to sell the cabinet only. Thanks, Kim

I’m a printer who just relocated from a shared studio in Asheville to FL. I prefer to print from handset type, but my personal collection limited to only a few drawers. I’m very interested! I just sent you a friend request with a message. Please let me know if it’s still available. My sister lives in DC and I own a flatbed truck, so I could easily head your way for pick up!

    Thanks, Bridget

Thank you for everyone who has expressed interest! I’m talking to a few organizations and printers that have reached out, and I look forward to finding the cabinet a good home soon.

You should contact Val of Bowerbox Press.  She’s located in Baltimore. She would love it!

Thank you for everyone’s interest and suggestions! The type cabinet has found a new home at a local arts cooperative.
