back when I did silk screening in undergrad, we were able to extend the volume of the ink by adding a clear ink (it looked like letterpress transparent white). Is there something for letterpress? I didnt’ think transparent white will do since you use transparent white to mix lighter color (at least according to the pantone book.

I prefer to mix my own ink based on my own mixes and sometimes I end up not making enough and would like to know how I can extend the volume without having to mix a batch again.

    thanks

Maybe conditioner is what you need.

It’s sold where most printing suplies are sold. Its purpose it’s to make the ink more “runny”, that is, less thick. But not supposed to dilute your color.
