Hello all! I am new to this group and am so glad to have found it.
I am working on a project that includes printing on buckram. I’ve done some test prints using black oil based ink on a medium red buckram and the results come out gray. What Im really shooting for is the look of old childrens library books with the , Im assuming foil stamped, covers. Hot stamping is out of my budget and skill set.
If anyone has experience with this I would love to hear about what worked and what didn’t.
1. proofing on Adana tabletop platen, edition will be printed on C&P
2. Polymer plates
3. oil van son inks
I posted this on Briar press and have got some advice there. Just trying to widen my net.
: )
Happy friday!
