I just stripped the rust off about 75 Hamilton galleys by soaking them in vinegar and scrubbing with steel wool. What is best thing to treat them with to prevent a return of the rust. Kerosene and WD40 have been suggested. Wondering if there is anything better?

I recently did the same for about 50 galleys. After cleaning off the rust, I used a rag and rubbed a light coating of 3-in-1 oil on them. Works great, and not smelly.

Thanks. I ended up using a rag and WD40.  I wonder which is thicker?
