Those of you that sell cards do you have a sales rep? What has been the most successful route? Stationery shows? rep? Other ideas?

Definitely the Stationery Show and sales reps! At least to get things rolling… Don’t expect a huge amount of orders from the show, but hopefully, if you attract a few key stores, sales reps will want to rep you…Good Luck!

How does one find a decent sales rep (that hopefully knows what letterpress is!)?

I can send you a list of reps. I have a list from when I owned a greeting card line. It’s a very small world, so if a rep isn’t taking on new lines, they may be able to refer you to someone. We always preferred to work in independent reps.

    Email me 😉

    Christen,

Would you mind sending me your list of reps? I am on the hunt and would be so appreciative to get the inside scoop!

    Thank you so, so much!

What’s a huge amount of orders, and why should we not expect them from the stationery show? If not a good amount of sales, I see no benefit to doing it. That’s why we’re there, right?

At the Stationery Show, getting 5 orders is good on your first time. You may do fewer, you hopefully will do more. There were upwards of 50 letterpress printers at last year’s show, so competition is a bit fierce. Friendly, but fierce!

I would be very interested in this list as well.  I’m in the middle of a major rebranding and a move, so getting the new line into stores is going to be crucial for me to get back up and running.

Thank you so much for being willing to help others out!

We sell our cards at a local gallery & Market in Deloraine, Tasmania.

They are printed on 300gsm Rosapina paper (beautiful).
