A table top letter press made in the exact same style as the chandler and price pilot press. This 6 1/2″ x 10″ Superior Craftsman Letterpress prints like a dream, can easily do halftones, creates beautiful impressions and consistent prints. This is a set of everything you need to start a small letter press shop.

From printing wedding invitations, to stationary and business cards this press is a work horse and in great used condition. It comes with a 5″ x 8″ box car deep relief base, barely used new rollers, four trucks, 8 cans of ink (opened, but’s still good, mostly rubber based and some oil), a ton of quions, quion key, roller height checking tool, quads, spacers, a full set of furniture, 6(!) chases, 6 sets of lead type with a 6 drawer custom type cabinet (type shifted and is as, needs to be re-organized but is in correct drawers), almost full pack of tympan paper, a bunch of new press board, copy of Gerald Lange’s printing digital type on the hand operated cylinder press, C & P pilot manual & parts list, quads, a quad cutter, asst registration pins, micrometer, stack of 220lb Lettra Cotton paper 8 1/2″ x 10″, Letterpress paper samples, metal type tray, spacers, everything you need to start printing today!

The press was originally from a shop in Chicago. Has been de-rusted and deep cleaned and oiled but not re-painted. You can choose to re-paint but is not recommended because the presses are not the same after painting and full disassembly. It’s a super rare find in Texas. Craftsmen is actually still in business, so parts for the press are easy to find if needed. Sorry, but selling as a full shop set.
