Hi ladies,I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get thick paper…around 600gsm =/-I am doing business card printing on front and back and really want to use a deep impression on both sides if possible. I normally use Crane’s Lettra, but they only have pearl and bright white in the 600gsm weight. It’s for a landscape business and they are looking for something a little earthy, or even recycled etc…anyone have any ideas?

You can also get 600 gsm paper from Atlantic Papers. They can duplex 2 300gsm Copperplate sheets together and I think Copperplate comes in a warm white. Atlantic Papers — 800/367.8547 (super nice folks)

You ladies are the experts and use gsm weights so not sure if my comment will be relative. I’m still using # paper weight understanding. Crane has a 268# stock that is perfect for deep impressions on both sides. I’ve designed several letterpress business cards with deep impressions on both sides on this stock and love it. Have done several invitations with it as well. It is much, much thicker than the Lettra. I’d have to double check before you quote me, but I think it’s tree free.

I recommend Atlantic too! There’s also a new paper from Manifesto Press called Holyoke Fine Paper–it’s 140#, and it comes in three whites. I’ll put up a blog post about it early next week, but you can check it out on their site:http://holyokepaper.com/

Porridge Papers makes an Ultra Thick weight that’s comparable to a 600g or 220#. Parent sheets are 19 x 25 and are handmade with a full deckled edge. Depending on the project and the number of sheets you need, the paper can be custom made to match colors and weights. http://www.porridgepapers.com
