Hi all, have a client asking what I do with her plates once finished printing. I was planning on re-using plates on other designs to increase my non-existent- wedding stationery portfolio. what do you all do?  I don’t feel I can sell to her since she purchased them with her order, any suggestions?

You could make a shadow box with the plates and an original printed wedding suite as a keepsake and heirloom for the bride and groom. You could charge something for your time, effort, and materials for the boxed set.

I tell them that I reuse the graphics and recycle the rest.

If the client wants the plates, I send them along with the final order.  Otherwise I keep them on hand to print samples from as needed.

The person that printed my wedding invitations years ago gave me the plates and it meant a lot to me.
