Wood Type Seller Warning

Hi there,

Just in case you are in the market for wood type on ebay…I want to give you all a warning–Wilson Surplus wilson99327 is listing a lot of wood type this week on ebay that is incomplete. Why? Because we HAVE THE REST OF THE LETTERS.

We purchased a bulk deal privately with them and instead of sending the wood type they represented via photos, half the lot they sent is complete garbage–spacers, half empty trays, incomplete fonts, random letters, broken letters, ad cuts and a lot of crap (l mean that literally).

Now they are reselling the type we already paid for. We made the deal with them because they had 100% rating on ebay but be forewarned–without ebay behind you to hold them accountable, they are the most dishonest and unethical people we have ever dealt with.

We have been buying A LOT of wood type for many years and met many fabulous people through our type dealings and become good friends with many of the folks we have bought from over the years. We tried to get resolution with Wilson Surplus but to no avail. We are pursing other avenues at this time. Don’t do what we did and beware.
