Alana is Oklahoma born, Texas raised, and Alabama educated. She earned her BFA in Graphic Design from Auburn University and has over 5 years experience in various in-house departments, most notably, Books-A-Million, Inc. and the University of Alabama. She serendipitously discovered the Book Arts program at UA and fell in love on the spot, but married Mike Frederick instead.Alana?s award-winning minibook, “Less Than Human” is collected by the Miniature Book Society. Her latest work, a carousel book entitled “Geological Time,” is about everything ever.
