Christopher James has spent the majority of his adult life in Lincoln, Nebraska. While he calls Nebraska home most are surprised and applaud that he is not a fan of football, Nebraska’s unofficial religion. 25 plus years ago he discovered paper, more specifically paper made by hand, his hands. That newfound love pushed him into starting Porridge Papers, a hand papermill. While most of his waking hours are spent at his mill, his family keeps the rest of his time busy. His wife Ellen his two daughters, Anika and Genevieve, Milo & Mabel the family dog and Nim, the family cat are more than a handful. Most recently he can be found renovating their 106-year-old house with his wife and enjoying some good craft beers while swinging a sledgehammer.
