Bio |
Cristina Müller. Born in Caracas, Venezuela in 1974, is an award winning editor and sensitive storyteller who uses images to explore the communication potential offered by Illustrated Books combined with prose, poetry and theater, where the discourse is product of mutual dependence between written and visual codes. She is the founder of her own publishing house: utopía {portátil} which has become a space, since 2014, for ongoing and permanent research. Picture Books are a source of fascination in which manages to communicate the essence of her own voice, from the simplest to the most complex, simultaneously. This approach addresses readers of all different ages – old and young and whether literate or not – spanning linguistic and geographic boundaries. Her most recent book, published in 2018, is titled 40 Consejos para un perro callejero, a poem written by Luis Enrique Belmonte.
