Established in Starkville, Mississippi in 2003 and now located in Gainesville, Florida Crooked Letter Press is the imprint of book artist and designer, Ellen Knudson.The aim of Crooked Letter Press is the synthesis of words and images in the form of letterpress printed handmade books and ephemera. Through the physical craft of making books by hand, issues of visual design and structure are addressed in the effort to evoke the genuine content of each book produced by the press.In addition to books, Crooked Letter Press also produces letterpress printed posters and broadsides, handmade books, and other hand printed materials.
