In college, I was drawn to printmaking because I liked the way it’s situated between the graphic and fine arts…(that and the fact that there were always fun people to hang out with and listen to loud music with in the printshop). I ended up getting a BFA and an MFA in printmaking, from Brigham Young University and the University of Utah respectively. Now, I run Sycamore Street Press, with some help from my husband, Kirk. I love to print my hand drawn images, but for designs that require computer skills, I bring some graphic designing friends. This communal aspect to our process reminds me of the good old days spent in university printshops, and I feel at home.
