After a youth spent learning calligraphy and bookbinding, I came to The Sherwood Press as a printers devil ‘s 1989 right out of The Evergreen State College, and apprenticed with founder Jocelyn Dohm for fourteen years. She left the business to me upon her passing in 2003. I have grown the business and expanded our capabilities greatly, focusing on efficient production on a lineup of Heidelberg Windmills, but adding other presses and machines to round out our capacity. My husband Terry has helped greatly with developing the infrastructure and workspaces. Our most recent acquisition is a Heidelberg KS cylinder press and we’re very excited to add large-format production letterpress capabilities.
