Jennifer Parsons’ art is rooted in her upbringing in the mountains of rural Appalachia. She’s the daughter of a factory seamstress and has enjoyed a lifelong love of paper-based craftsmanship. In addition to traditional arts and crafts projects, she’s produced short films of paper-cut animation and has a reputation among her friends for bestowing hand-stitched gifts of art at birthdays and holidays. With such a positive response, it was no surprise that high-end paperie Soolip began carrying her one-of-a-kind cards in their West Hollywood boutique and soon after brought her on as a design consultant at their custom office. Soon, Jennifer decided to start her own stationery company. In 2005 Tiny Pine Press opened it’s doors and has offered unique designs with a high commitment to quality since, branching out into the world of graphic design and publishing as opportunities arise. Currently, she is happily hand printing with 2 vintage Chandler & Price presses and working full time designing, printing, stitching and running the show at Tiny Pine Press.
