Services Offered in Addition to Letterpress? |
The 50 Word Project. I don’t sell my printing – I don’t need to, and I live in the hometown of both Hallmark and Hammerpress, so the idea of competing with them is pretty amusing. Instead, I invite people to submit 50 words from their favorite book, I print the excerpts on Crane’s Lettra cards, send them one, and distribute the rest in packs to libraries and coffeeshops around town. I have a blast, some of my friends actually frame the things, and it allows me to share my love of great words *and* letterpress at the same time.

Bio |
I’ve been collecting letterpress graphics for years, off and on. My first job out of college was working as a proofreader/typesetter for an early, computerized typesetting company. I learned about type. Then started taking community classes on letterpress, and just made the leap. After quickly realizing the Kelsey was too small, I purchased the Curtis & Mitchell from TandT Press Restoration. My day job is as director of a nonprofit consulting firm that does public engagement, designing and facilitating meetings where people can make progress on difficult issues.
