Hope, how old are your rollers? Sometimes they can wear unevenly.Judith

Try paper presentations, jam paper and envelopes, or astro paper.

Gary,From what i understand, there is no sizing in the lettra paper. As a result, ink can travel on the fibers. Crane’s Crest is a perfect match for color. It does have a watermark. Strathmore writing, color soft white is a good match also.

I use small rigid business card boxes. They stack nicely on shelves and you can write pantone number + date on the end. Then i smudge some ink on the top edge.

I would recommend Graphic Roller in Glendora, californiaGraphic Roller Co.740 E Route 66 , Glendora , CA 91740 | 626-335-5004They can also recommend if the old cores will save you $$$. Sometimes new cores would be better and there are most likely specifications for what the factory originally used. Best of luck to you and your new pressEmailFollow this listing Send to Phone Print

I have cleaned drawers (without type) in the bathtub. You can use a bit of Murphy’s Oil Soap, a scrubby, let it dry in the sun and the put some orange oil on it. I don’t know if this is the “right” way to do it, it is just the way I have done it.

I will be watching to see what others do. good question.

Jessica’s advice is great. Another way to give it a try is  set up the press with an old plate, Once all your adjustments are made, put your new plate on. That way if there is a problem, you have not damaged a plate that you still need to use. It is always better to error on not enough packing and work your way up to the correct pressure you are looking for.

I use quick books and I love it. I only use it for billing and sending out paid notices. I have an accountant who pays the bills….. I do this instead of a housekeeper. I would much rather vacumn than pay bills.
