Volta Press was founded in 2007 by Laureen Mahler and John Peck. The studio began in Oakland, California and relocated to Berlin in 2014. We specialize in creating distinctive printed works by hand, as well as teaching letterpress and creating design for print. Though most of our work focuses on letterpress, we also like to experiment with mixed media, including screenprint and Risograph.

In addition to printing our own work, we offer custom letterpress for individuals and businesses. Our offerings include business cards, invitations, announcements, postcards, posters, and limited edition books.
