While attending the Kansas City Art Institute back in ?99, Michelle had her first experience with a Vandercook which was like finding a puzzle piece that she didn?t know was missing. With a background in both printmaking and illustration, she attempts to create vibrant, colorful pieces that are strongly image-based. In addition to printing for others, she enjoys creating hand carved blocks for posters and fine art prints that allow her to express her own unique sense of delicate patterning beneath a boldly graphic surface.
