Somewhere between my undergraduate degree (in writing literature and publishing), getting a certificate in graphic design, and now working towards an MFA in graphic design and illustration?I found myself taking a letterpress and bookbinding continuing education class, and completely fell in love. I soon left my day job to pursue a career as a freelance designer and also had the chance to intern at Albertine Press where I now keep my Kelsey 5 x 8 and sometimes print on their Vandercook.Although we all wish we could live solely off our art, I too must have other gigs. My main focus for Pressbound is graphic design work in the publishing, non-profit, and educational markets. I also teach courses in graphic design in the writing, literature, and publishing department at Emerson College.
