Bio

Jauneth Skinner is a graphic artist who creates drawings, hand pulled relief (letterpress) and intaglio prints, and illustrated journals.

Her works have been exhibited in nearly 200 exhibitions in six different countries, including The National Museum of Women in the Arts (Washington, D.C.); the United Nations Fourth World Conference on Women (Beijing, China); Palazzo Rinaldi (Noèpoli, Italy), Studio la Città (Verona, Italy) and Santa Reparata Stamperia d’Arte Grafica, (Florence, Italy); Lessedra Gallery (Sofia, Bulgaria); Artemsia Gallery, Chicago Printmakers Collaborative, and Anchor Graphics (Chicago, IL); Minnesota State Arts Board, Center for Book Arts, and the Minneapolis Art institute (Minneapolis, MN); William Over State Museum (Vermillion, SD); Beardsley Art Museum (Phoenix, AZ); Meridian Museum of Art (Meridian, MS); Gadsden Museum of Art (Gadsden, AL); Heritage Hall Museum (Talladega, AL); Fort Wayne Museum of Art (Fort Wayne, IN); and Springfield Art Museum (Springfield, MO).

Skinner’s work is included in over 150 collections, including the Smithsonian National Museum of Art Print Collection (Washington, D.C.); the Fogg Museum of Art Print Collection at Harvard University (Cambridge); The Rossi Library Archives (Rome, Italy); Scuola Internazionale di Grafica (Venice, Italy); Bodleian Library at University of Oxford (Oxford, UK); Harris College Collection (Cardiff, Wales); Kennarahåaskøoli Íslands University Print Collection, Stakkahlíö (Reykjavik, Iceland); and Minnesota Historical Society (St. Paul).

She received the MFA (Graphic Arts) degree from Bowling Green State University and the BFA (Graphic Arts) and AS in Commercial Art Technology (Illustration) degrees from Indiana University.

She is a Professor of Graphic Arts in the Department of Art at Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama. Skinner is listed in Who’s Who in America, (2017–2006) and was recently nominated for their Life Time Achievement Award (2017).
