I grew up in The Bahamas my whole life, then moved to Brooklyn for undergraduate studies. Once I discovered book arts, letterpress printing, printmaking and papermaking, I decided to move home and establish a place where all of these crafts could be kept alive. I’m working on building up my little independent publishing press, Poinciana Paper Press, into a center for letterpress, book arts and papermaking–the first of its kind in the Caribbean. It’s just starting out, but it has potential!
