I thought that they were too thick to actually be used as postcards…? My post office told me that they have to bend to be eligible for “postcard” status (though my local branch is a bunch of postal-Nazis, in my opinion).

July and December are almost finished, design-wise. They’ll be printed and shipped by mid-Nov, so no worries! Between my NSS deadlines, bridal orders, holiday planning, and my husband deploying on Tuesday, I’m a bit behind schedule. But I’ll get ’em done 🙂

Someone had mentioned binding them (can you bind coasters? I’ve never tried). If any of you plan to do so, do we need to adjust the position of the design accordingly?

I’ll also do July, if no one is interested in it. (Pink Orchid Press)

I say we do at LEAST enough for 2 sets each. I like to keep one copy of each cool project around the studio for friends and clients alike to appreciate. I also would love to gift one (or more) to friends for Christmas. Since it’s just coasters, and they’re cheap, what if we do enough for everyone to get a few extra sets? Shipping would be maybe $2 or $3 more…

I’m in if you still need more participants! Please just let me know everyone’s ideas for the swap and when it’s due 🙂

I don’t know anything about that paper, Lydia, but I would think that you could recreate something to look VERY similar by using a border punch. They sell some very intricate and beautiful ones (as much as I hate to admit it, many of Martha Stewarts are very pretty), and you can find them at Michael’s, Hobby Lobby, etc.
