Hi Cara,I did use Hodgins. Perhaps Kseniya has better luck with them, but my project was a disaster. I’ve not found anyone else who can do it though!

Hi Bianca, Did you end up using Hodgins? I’m looking to outsource foil edging and can’t find any local shops. Any tips would be great!!

Hi,This used to happen a lot on my platens, which is why I loved the V36 and the Kelly! However, to the problem at hand: two things I would try would be to (carefully) thin the ink with reduction varnish or tack reducer, and also running thick vertical borders outside the image area, to relieve some of the tendency of the rollers to mash down over…[Read more]

Hi Angela! I would be down for doing a swap if there is enough interest. Are you specifically just trying to fill holes in your alphabet swap, or are you just looking to do a new swap in general?

I have a C&P 8 x 12 that I use everyday and a 12 x 18 that I use about once a month – I say for sure go for the larger one so you can do 11 x 17 posters. Otherwise it’s not worth having one barely larger.

Hi Melissa, I order my custom die plates through Key Dies in PA. (http://keydies.com/industry_letterpress.htm) They are really great to work with and willing to work with a beginner and walk you through the process of how to order, when it comes to all the technical specifications. They also have a fast turn-around time for some fairly complex…[Read more]

Hi Melissa, recently ordered a 6″ circle die from Midwest Dies out of Wisconsin. They have an online quote generator, quick work-around time, and were easy to work with. Hope this helps!Kim
