@joshbonnenberg No need for custom cuts – I’m thinking of ordering this size for some workshops where we don’t have access to a large paper cutter or board shears. It’s just handy to know the grain ahead of time to plan projects. Thanks!

@jessicacwhite Hey Jessica!
The Mohawk superfine 11×17 is long grain but we could certainly custom cut some short grain for you if you needed it – there’s just a lot of waste involved. What weight were you looking at?

@joshbonnenberg Hi Josh, a quick question – on your Mohawk Superfine 11×17, is it grain-long or grain-short?

I’ve bought pre-cut ones from Katz America before and have had good luck. They have squares, circles, and rectangles too I think.

We use Reich Savoy for everything and it folds great! Never have a problem cracking. We use the #118, so don’t know if a heavier stock would give you trouble. We also use a hand scoring machine and I don’t know maybe that helps us. Good luck!

Hey Christy,Shot you a tweet, but just in case you see this first, you could check our site out (it’s in our profile). If I were you, I’d check out the heavy Crane’s colors for a project like that – but the world is your oyster!Let me know if you have any questions!Josh – Paperworks

Hello India,I would like to help you out a bit with my own experience.First of all, what camera do you use? I seriously recommend using a digital SLR, that is a professional interchangeable lens camera, and you can do away with a used one, with the most basic lens it comes with.Here are my tips for you assessing each issue you mention:- D…[Read more]

Are you mixing your color with opaque or transparent white ink? This is often a problem with an opaque base, so if you can mix to your PMS swatches with transparent instead, that will take care of it. Otherwise, allow for a large overrun in each run, as the problem fades as you go along.Hope that helps.

Davina, I can’t see how even oxidized type could change ink colors. I believe it’s more likely that the type was insufficiently cleaned before its next use with a light color. What cleaning agents are you using? Is it possible that ink could have remained in the counters of your sorts and contaminated the color in that way?Another possibility to…[Read more]
