It is for wedding invitations. The bride wants deep impression. Does’t matter if it is from tree or cotton fiber. She would like thick paper. I am thinking about the lettra but it only comes in #110 for the ecru. Has anyone tried duplexing lettra with a deep impression? Did the “deboss” hold up? Any paper less expensive than lettra? Thanks for your help.

What’s the project? What’s the budget? Cotton or tree-fiber?There are a lot of other-than-white papers out there: Stonehenge, BFK, and French come to mind easily.

Hi, I’m not really a printer, but a jeweler & I’m interested in this cabinet. I have several of these trays & they work well for me. I have no need for the type. I live in Linthicum, Md which is close to BWI airport. Let me know if you would like to sell the cabinet only. Thanks, Kim

I think it’s a great idea! I hope to have an “Official Trailer” of my little Studio done soon, it’s been a lot of work + fun.

Thanks a lot for people who responded!Unfortunately the print shop I was working with declined to take the press since they already have a Vandercook No. 4 and didn’t think it was worth it. I am only starting out and don’t have the equipment to maintain it so I opted not to get the press after all.I appreciate your comments though, thank you!

I’m still living/printing in the caveman days using handset type and traditional dies, but I can print with PP, maybe one of the other Ladies has the base and is already set up to print that way.

I got the same website from Val at Bowerbox, and they were GREAT. Called me right back, and will weld it back together in under a week for $75. I can’t believe I haven’t heard of them before. Thank you!

Is it just the M G that foil stamps? You won’t need to do a knock out if you use wax free ink. I can foil it for you very inexpensively, contact me

Hm. Foil stamping would give the desired effect, and a knock out will work but you’ll have to maintain a very tight registration. If it proves to be cost effective to do a third color run, I’ve printed an opaque white on dark background and then printed metallic ink on it with a nice effect. Not as good as foil, and you may run into trouble with t…[Read more]

You will need to do a knock out. Good luck as that certainly looks challenging to print with the fine lines. Please post a picture of the finished card.
