I just want to get rid of it and the type too. I’ve seen them for around 500 and a similar amount for the type. Do you have some offer. I’m willing to consider all offers.

Hi There! I’ve dip dyed quite a few of my projects. The results do look the best if you dip the paper first and print after, but you can do it the other way around if necessary. The dye is just much more smooth if you do it first. You can dye using Crane’s Lettra, it takes the color very nicely. Let me know if you have any other questions. I’m…[Read more]

Hi Jessica,Dave Robison, aka “The Ink in Tubes Guy” would be an excellent person for you to ask. He is very enthusiastic about Multigraphs, has an extensive collection, and I would imagine manuals as well. He is part of the volunteer staff at the San Jose Printer’s Guild, and a regular responder on Briar Press. His contact info is listed as…[Read more]

Hi Anna!I wouldn’t say I have much experience with dip dye but I have played around with it a bit for a styled photo shoot. I dipped the paper (it was Crane’s Lettra) first and then once the sheets were air dried I stacked books on top to make sure they were flattened as much as possible. I was doing a three color dip dye and found that I was much…[Read more]

I have used a carl paper trimmer but now I use a score board I bought off ebay.Manual table top Professional Scoring Creasing / Creaser Machine – 14¨capacity was the title. And I really like it. It has guides that are not just magnetic – you screw them down with hand screws and it keeps them more stable! I paid around $170usdAnd its a one motion…[Read more]

I don’t do a whole lot of scoring, but when I do, I lock some 2 point rule into the chase and use my press. I’ve also tried string scoring, by locking up two lengths of rule separated by 2 point lead and taping a string on the platen so that the string falls between the two rules. Works really well, but a bit trickier to set up.

I use a Carl’s paper trimmer with a scoring blade. I swap out the blades depending on whether I’m cutting or scoring.http://www.carlmfg.com/rt-218-18-professional-rotary-trimmer.html

Hi Kelly,You’re right, that’s a great idea – need to stick the things down somehow and masking tape or the things you suggested might do it. I’ll let you know! Thanks for replying.Kate

Have you tried taping them to the tympan? It would be crazy slow going, but it would keep your register. Say, use a few squares of something like this (http://www.staples.com/Scotch-Restickable-Strips-1-inch-x-3-Clear-6-Pack/product_857700) on the tympan–making sure that they’re not under an area that’s being printed, and also that the area would…[Read more]
