  • Thanks! Maybe I’ll give them another shot… it’s been a year, so maybe it’s improved. Or maybe I am just spoiled getting my paper so fast here from the Midwest Co’s I use!

  • I think these are probably gone, since they were about to go to scrap at the time I found out about them. And they were all floor models, so you really wouldn’t want to ship them. If you’re talking about Paul at the museum, I don’t think he’d ship either, as it’s just not worth it. They’re so big and heavy so they have to go freight…. you’re…[Read more]

  • I can see that being annoying as well, because I also feel like I keep striving to get better at the CRAFT of letterpress. • Thanks- I’ll email her and let her know the number!

  • We had something like this at the first shop I worked in; I think they were just waxed paper, so we ended up cutting a bunch of our own. It did seem to work… at least keeping it from completely crusting over! Let us know how these ones work!

  • I’d agree with what everyone said. I think there’s a certain amount of serendipity when it comes to getting a press and in my experience, what I have needed has fallen into my lap. Finding a press on the other side of the country might not be the best idea as you have to factor in physically getting it, even if it sounds like a great press. The…[Read more]
