Hey Kristina, We’re thinking of starting registration at 10am on Friday morning, but the first event will be at 1:30pm. We’re also thinking of asking volunteers to meet on Thursday (probably early afternoon), to get things going smoothly, if you were thinking of volunteering. Jessica

Yes, I agree with Camille, that the Adana is a good choice, but I also love my “little black iron beast”, a Kelsey 5×8. I got it used for $300, and it didn’t take long to clean up and get into good working shape. I cleaned it up, oiled it, and got new rollers, and it works beautifully.

I’m using 110lb cover from Mohawk. I haven’t checked it with the post office folks, but I’ve sent (and received) all kinds of paper as postcards, and haven’t had a problem yet, so I think it’s a pretty wide range to work with.But Camille makes a good point – I don’t plan on mailing any of these, just keeping them all for myself 🙂

They typically need different amounts of ink (the wood takes more because of the larger size), and may need different amounts of packing depending on how old and worn down the wood type is.
