Hi Ondine,I’m also curious about this question.  When I’ve had bleeds in the past, I just cut the paper to exact size and let the ink come of the edge and print on the tympan paper.  At first I was worried that this would get ink on the back of my paper, but I guess I was careful enough when I hand-fed that it didn’t. Best of luck!Jennifer

I’ve had this exact issue. Also, I’ve had ink disappear in random places if the rollers get too dirty from picking up too much fiber off the lettra. I can usually see on the ink disk how dirty everything is getting.

Try paper presentations, jam paper and envelopes, or astro paper.

I have a Triumph 5250 here as well–it’s an insufferable machine. 🙂 A company called Graphic Global services it and there might be a location near you as well. I am in the same boat and curious to see what will be available.

I’d make sure your rollers were perfectly clean and dry as well, with no leftover solvent, crisco, or grease from the press on them–that can wreak havoc and make for unpredictable ink coverage on press.

Hi Laura,Thanks for the tip! I do leave my rollers on the after I clean up, BUT we were still having the same issue right after we re-taped the rails.  But I’ll give re-taping a try.  also maybe chalk in case they’re sliding?Thanks for the tips!!
