I have had good luck with using tubes (sold for paint etc)….I however love Judith’s idea, they would stack well! Have a photo?

I put the logo on almost everything I print. The only things I don’t are business cards, or print work for another business. It’s great advertising and I haven’t ever had anyone have any objection to it.

@kristinearellano So cool–they’re good friends with the Druckladen in Mainz, where I was. We often had their prints in our exhibits.

I think you need to clean the grease off the die, it must be over greased or something — I never get grease on my cut corners with my lasco. I did learn however its not good if you drop a die — one of mine fell off a shelf, took me a day to get put back together, still works but what a pain.

I have the same problems, and I have the fancy Lassco corner rounder. It always gets grease on the edge of my paper. Has anyone got tips for avoiding this??

Hmm, as far as I know not a industry standard ~ If nothing else it means you have to run it through the press one more time which means more work for you and not something you can charge the client for so not necessarily the most efficient use of your time ~

Maia de Raat replied to the topic Deep Impression vs. Kiss Impression in the forum News and Announcements 13 years ago
Well I think of it in these terms, I want some impression to show on the front without it making the back of the card look ugly.Often you need to educate your client about the process, part of what you are selling with letterpress is that it the item is hand made and your taking the time to tell them about how it’s done helps emphases this. When…[Read more]

Hi Davina,I was able to acquire some sample papers from Legion Paper and I was able to test run them through my pearl. Looks like she can handle up to 600 gsm. Though I reduced my packing a bit to compensate for the thicker stock. i was able to get a deep impression and not too deep. so perhaps you can try reducing the packing. sam

Hi! I did when they first came out on my (then) Golding Pearl. Although they work ok I wouldn’t use them for long runs since the plastic can (and did) crack. Also I’ve seen several Etsy shops sell the items they make from the “L Letterpress” and calling it actual letterpress printed items. I don’t know if they have an Angel policy to be honest.…[Read more]

I wouldn’t print a logo on a wedding invite, but I would on a greeting card, although you might get by with a very small “bug” on the back of a wedding suite.
