I could be wrong, but isn’t the area where the key goes to hold the flywheel onto the crank shaft. So, it looks like your flywheel is missing the key/pin. Since they are pretty tough to get off, I don’t know that someone makes and sells that specific part on a regular basis. But you can contact DeFelice Engineering to see if they can help you ou…[Read more]

You would pretty much create a die line that is 5 or 10 percent larger than your art and have a steel rule die made. When die cutting, if you can do it right, you can “kiss-cut” the label stock so that you have a waste lip that can be peeled back, rather than a full cut out label that you have to separate the adhesive layers on. Of course a l…[Read more]

Cherie Irwin replied to the topic Printing on wood? in the forum Supplies and Sources 13 years, 7 months ago
They have several options. I would check out their site or contact them directly for more information. I live in the U.S., so I know nothing about customs and shipping to another country.

May be an issue importing it to Australia as our customs can be difficult and also the postage from the US usually cost as much as the product! Are the woods a laminate sandwich or lust one thin natural veneer?

No problem. I have a laser engraver/cutter that I use to engrave wood printing blocks, but I also engrave and cut veneer all the time. I have stacks and stacks of the stuff. I stock up when they have their remnant sale. The maple is my favorite.

I know this is a little old, but I get wood veneer for printing at http://www.cardsofwood.com I buy the 11 x 17 and 22 x 24 via their sheets and cut them down to size. They have remnants for sale, too. They are the same quality as their regular sheets, but far less expensive…perfect for practicing.

I know I’m a few months late on this, but maybe check with local photographers, especially ones who would turn over a high number of prints… My dad owns a studio and does a lot of portraiture and sports photos so he has a constant stream of prints coming in from his lab. When he picks up the prints, they come sandwiched between chipboard to…[Read more]

You have to use first class postage rate, they are too thick for the postcard rate! You sound busy!

I thought that they were too thick to actually be used as postcards…? My post office told me that they have to bend to be eligible for “postcard” status (though my local branch is a bunch of postal-Nazis, in my opinion). July and December are almost finished, design-wise. They’ll be printed and shipped by mid-Nov, so no worries! Between my NSS…[Read more]
