D N K replied to the topic Magnetic base vs "Boxcar" base in the forum Type 14 years, 4 months ago
Boxcar offers the following info, which for obvious reasons, makes their plate sound like a better choice. I was just wondering if there’s a lady out there with the magnetized base to get their perspective. Thanks y’all. http://www.boxcarpress.com/boxcar-base/switching-from-magnetic.htm

Thank you Samantha. I’ve tried them. Their entry level is $8,400. They used to carry one for $5k. A used one might be more in my price range.

Cool thanks! I’m using Ed Regan Printing Machinery Movers in Indiana who are a lot closer to me, but it’s always nice to have more resources for parts and fixing up presses. I’m going to probably have to do a major clean on my III to get him printing smoothly.

Not sure if this is too late, but you might want to contact the Hicks Brothers. We also have a Universal III and they fixed it up and moved it into our shop… they are the moving experts! (415) 575-0933. Lars.

I take a rag properly soaked, but not drenched in California wash, put it in a ball.Take the rag and quickly run it over my disc, then lay it flat on the disc.I run my rollers over the rag on the disc, slowly, back and forth about 4 times.I take another fesh rag, (fold it in 3 or 4) with California wash and wipe my rollers throughly without taking…[Read more]

sure, just put two colors on the press BUT be sure to disengage the ratchet business that spins the ink disk. The ink disk must not turn. The longer the run, the more the colors blend x x rick

I won’t be able to make it to NSS this year, but Kseniya will be there with a group of LoLP members. They’ll be in booths #2362, 2364, 2366, 2368. Good luck at the fair!

The font I used for the logo was modified a bit, but is based off of Balduina Real OT. Good luck.

Hi Yajara! I am still waiting on the bolt. John doesn’t have the parts Pilot at his studio, but he travels to a place that has it once a week. He was very busy last week and didn’t get a chance to go up, but I should be hearing from him this week. I believe he said it would only be $20, but I will certainly let you know when he gives me the…[Read more]

@jeannekomp Jeanne,
I am a wife of a youth pastor in south Alabama and I recently saw the logo you did for the conference and I just love that font. Is it a standard type font or custom made? The reason I ask is my husband is designing a new logo for our church ladies fellowship and I would love to have him incorporate that font into our lo…[Read more] - Load More
