Mohawk makes a stickyback paper in the Superfine line, and I think Neenah has one, too.

My Kelsey is not even functional right now, I am still looking at hours of scrubbing to do and then reassembling it. Unless he is planning on giving me another press as part of the other equipment I am not planning on selling this one any day soon.He is going to have a hard time finding one. But they pop up from peoples farms and garages…[Read more]

Speaking of Kelseys . . . a teacher in CT contacted me to ask if any of you had a Kelsey that you’d be willing to swap for some other equipment and a below-market payment–he’d like to do small-scale, hands-on, die-cutting with his graphic arts students. If so, contact me and I’ll give you his contact info!

I am also looking for a small c&p press to upgrade.My solution to get a press I can actually afford was to look all over briarpress and ebay. Everything is super expensive right now. I ended up getting a 5×8 kelsey from ebay for about $300, but it was super crusty and nasty, and missing rollers and chase. At least it was affordable. I was willing…[Read more]

I got mine done via recommendation of Casey from Inky Lips. He recommended RotaDyne in Texas. THEY WERE AMAZING! I needed a second set (cores/rollers) for my press and they helped me locate another press owner near their plant, did measurements and recovered for 2 rollers for $450 (that way I didn’t have to send in the current set and have to stop…[Read more]

I haven’t, but would recommend trying to contact one of the folks on the vandercook census (http://vandercookpress.info/vanderblog/census/) and ask them! It looks like the 17s don’t have grippers, which would mean no registration, but still, it’s a vandy!kelly

@jennypierce Hi Jenny,
I noticed you’re in Livingston! What’s your story? I’m from Helena originally. Currently in St. Louis, but planning a move back to Helena next summer. Would love to meet you, not to mention pick your brain about moving presses across the country (I have the same as you, a OS C&P 10×15″, and Pilot, as well as a Takach etching…[Read more] -

My most recent rollers I had cast by advanced roller in Corona, CA. http://www.advancedroller.com/ I had 3 made for my 8×12 C&P and they were $150. For all 3. (not each) (I paid cash) And I got a free T-shirt. Well, my husband did. The rollers were PERFECT!
